Anyone can learn to click on a head. Learning to put a wall between yourself and the person clicking on yours is where this game gets interesting. 1v1.lol is a multiplayer shooting game with a twist: you fight in third person while raising your own platforms, ramps and walls for cover and height. The main mode is a 1v1 battle royale, so the winner is simply the last player standing, and there are no teammates to hide behind. There’s also a build mode where you can practice structures without anyone shooting at you, which is the best place to start if your hands feel slow. The matches are fast, the rules are easy to explain, and the skill ceiling is much higher than the first minute makes it look.
Shooting and Building Run on the Same Clock
You get three main weapons: an assault rifle, a sniper rifle and a shotgun, plus an axe for tearing down an opponent’s walls. Four building pieces sit on hotkeys so you can drop them mid-fight without opening a menu. That’s the whole trick of the game. While you aim, you’re also deciding what to build, when to build it and whether the other player is about to knock it down. There are 11 characters to pick from, but they’re a look, not a different set of rules.

Ramp 4: Use the axe to open up a wall that’s hiding your target, then switch weapons and finish the fight.
Ramp 5: Match the weapon to the distance: shotgun when you’re close, sniper when you’re far, assault rifle for everything in between.
